Terrible place to work.my experience was horrendous, I have a Bsc health and social care degree, was hired as a senior carer but was never given the opportunity to work as one by the Manager, the senior carers send carers on errand and sit down doing nothing and sleep on medication the whole day, the worst place I have worked. The Manager does not appreciate people with University degree because she has none.

My dad was and is our absolute world, we never thought we would be in a situation that he had to be cared for but here we are…… We decided on this care home because a friend recommended it to us and she had looked everywhere!!!! We didn’t have much choice as lockdown completely took away our dad our choices and our decisions we had to do everything quickly and not face to face. Dad has now been at Sonya Lodge for a year and I can honestly say hand on my heart the STAFF are all AMAZING everyone cares!!! The staff literally go above and beyond for our Dad we could not ask for better care!!!! The home is clean always (never smells) everyone knows us and have great relationship with Dad (even through these hard times) we never feel like he’s alone and we are truly grateful to these angels for the care an attention they give to our dad!!! If you are looking for a care home for a loved one I 100% recommend Sonya Lodge 💕 Sasha and I are forever grateful to each an every one of you xxxxxxxx

Just read off the news . This place in understaffed and left clients full of urine . The owners and management should hold their heads in shame.

Mum has been happy at Sonya and the staff are always friendly, despite some of mum's foibles she is well looked after and is well kempt, her clothes are laundered daily and there is a great atmosphere, the staff are very caring and approachable, and when we have had a concern, it has always been quickly taken on board and a solution expedited, we are happy that Mum is at Sonya.

The best way to sum up Sonya Lodge is to say the carers, care. All the residents are spoken to in a polite and respectful way. I have no set day to when I visit my relation, but I'm always made welcome and whoever opens the door will know how my relative is (what mood she's in) The home is always clean and tidy.

I entertain here on a regular basis, the staff are so interactive with the residents, caring for their every need. I come away always feeling built up by everyone's caring positive attitude. There is always a nice atmosphere here. 😊
